Try an undercoat brush, and use it! It will get the undercoat of your dog out (where they shed from). You could also call your vet, sometimes shedding can be from lack of nutrients in their diet, or other things. I would definitely call to make sure, but I would expect it to last through september, depending on where you're at. Seriously, an undercoat brush is awesome, for most breeds and hairtypes.

As any animal you must spend time with it, I have 5 German Shepherds dogs and we groom them every day ,our dogs shed and it took about 3 weeks to get all the winter fur off , if you would buy the dog grooming comb,you would help the animal shed all its fur very fast . Walmart sells the comb it almost looks like a mini rake they work the best.

you may want to take him to the vet coz sometimes, hairloss may be a symptom to a skin disease...do you give him chocolate?, pedigree?

My vet has this new product called the Furminator. Every owner of a cat or dog he tries is on ends up buying one. It is one of the best products I have every seen to help with the shedding. The Furminator is a little expensive, a large one costing around $50, but I would defiantly buy it. If you go to the official website, it shows a Golden Retriever and a lot of fur surrounding the dog. I wouldn't doubt that all of that fur belongs to the nearby dog.
