Why do some dogs shed their hair while others do not?

There is no such thing as a "totally" non-shedding dog. All dogs shed at least a little hair at one time or another, as do humans. There are however dogs that shed little to no hair. This is a list of breeds that shed little to no hair.

Because dogs have two layers of fur the top layer stays well the bottom layer sheds so if you run your hand slow on the top no fur will be on your hand but if you scratch the dogs head fur will be on your hand.

just like humans. they shed hair. and take noted for humans it normal to shed 100 hairs a day.



it just so happen that dog with long coats shed more hair and that is very visible compared to dogs with short coats.
