Is there actually hair dye for dogs that is permanent?
I have a maltipoo that I tried to dye maroon... (he's white) but he turned out hot pink. I used this semi permanent stuff from Sally's, and it lasted two months, and it might have lasted longer, but I gave him a haircut :)

NO, dogs hair grows, sheds and regrows. You would have to keep dying it to keep it the desired color. Plus dying a dog is just dumb.

No more permanent than it would be on you.
Dogs shed. The new hair won't have dye in it.

You're joking right? Why in gods name would you want to alter and change the colour of your dogs coat?

O.K. this is like one of those questions my daughter would ask me. I think she sits around and thinks about these things just to annoy me. lol. But to tell you a story: When I was a young girl my mom would color her hair with that cheap crap. She wasn't always hitting her head and a few drops landed on the floor. I can't remember what kind of dog we had at the time but he came and licked up the color. The dog DIED!!
Moral of the story....Don't put color on your dog!
