My dog is from Florida,moved to Illinois ,now the hair on his paw pads is red! Why does this happen?
If their is a lot of Iron in the soil where you live and he is running around on it could get transfered to his paws and stain the hair on his paws.

The hair around his pads is probably stained! Think about it, he walks around on his paws all day, and he isn't getting a bath everyday, so the dirt and mud and all the other things his paws are being exposed to can stain the fur around his pads.
Post a picture of him, I really have never seen a part wolf!

It sounds like he may have allergies. Has he been chewing on his paws as of late?
I'd recommend letting a vet take a look to be sure.

maybe he is allergic to something there. is he biting and licking his feet? maybe is it is really serious, you should get it cheaked out by a vet.
