i have a friend hu used human hair dye on her dog and now she wants to remove it and I am helping her to do so. I need some help. I wanna save her pooch! Please tell us some advice how to wash of the dye off her pooch. I asked her nt to do so but she insisted. Now she wants it off. HOW!? NEED ADVICE!

Safest to leave it alone. The next time your friend wants to decorate her dog use kool aid it comes in pretty colors too.

Wash the dog REPEATEDLY with a shampoo! I have found that cheap shampoos like white rain work well in getting dye out of my hair!

Make sure you use lukewarm water and try to keep the dog calm. Stress can be harmful to him right now in combination with the dye!

If you have any problems with the dog, or if it starts acting funny, call the vet IMMEDIATELY!

Call a vet or a groomer immediatey. Get off the internet and do it now, you could be burning the dogs skin.

if the dye is permanent, it'll have to grow out of you'll have to shave the dog. i would just rinse it down to rid the dog of cemical residue- so that the skin doesn't get any more irritated. make sure his eyes are okay as well. don't try to remove it with any more chemicals- it'll hurt the dogs skin even more.

Is the hair color permanent? Chances are the dog will need to be shaved down to get the color off... Especially if it is permanent hair coloring as it will not just wash out. Hopefully this will be a lesson to your friend to not use humon products on dogs....

you should call the vet and ask the safest way to proceed. Many dogs will react adversly to human products, so it's important that you don't double up on something that can harm her.

Call Animal Services. This is cruel. If she wants to torture her dog than she doesnt deserve to have one. What idiot would put human dye on their dogs fur.

Anyways... The only thing you can really do is wash with lukewarm water and wash it with DOG SHAMPOO (make sure your friend reads this so she doesnt go off using her "colour treated" shampoo for herself), be calm because the dog will notice if you are scared and panicky and it will become Physco.

After the dye does come out...well....I would call the local humane society because thats cruelty to use human products on animals.

She has to undeerstand that human and animals do not have the same pH on our skin, so what might be fine on our skin might burn on an animals skin.

God help the dog and may God lead its owner infront of a moving train going at about 250 miles per hour.

what the hell r u doin put hair dye on a dog! lol wow thats weird u kno u can just goto the groomer to have ur dog dyed what ever color u want it! no just call the groomer for some tips on how to get it out! =)

you cant remove dye once its processed. you can wash it off as fast as you can and hope it didnt set, but once it has, its that color until it grows out

Sounds like that your friend created a big mess.Unless you seek professional advice, i would not add flame to the fire.The dye will eventually come out The Harsh Chemicals that will have to be used can be a serious threat to the animals health.
