been to the vet diagnos "staph infection" for a dog with scabs itchy, loosing hair, did a skin graphing, chemistrypanel/cbc/thyroid. you name it we tested for it $$$$
gave him medicine and shampoo, its not from flea bites or mange. I've feed him the same food for most of his 6 years of age. can a dog get scabs from new carpet?

staph could come from anything, but seems highly unlikely from a carpet. Do any of you have staph? I hope that the vet gave him enough antibiotics. He could have gotten a bite from some kind of insect. Staph could have entered from a small cut. I hope he feels better soon. Not impetigo or ringworm is it?
